A North American marketing organization is seeking a Strategist to join its Toronto-based Strategy team.

For decades, this organization has helped companies build their brands and create meaningful connections with consumers. Its multidisciplinary teams deliver marketing and sales solutions across strategy, creative development, experiential marketing, digital media, and sales support.

This role will help connect strategic planning with creative execution. The Strategist will translate client needs, research, and consumer insights into clear strategic direction, compelling narratives, and effective marketing programs.

The opportunity

As part of the Strategy team, you will:

  • Interpret client needs and respond thoughtfully and effectively to briefings.
  • Define clear and ambitious marketing goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify and articulate actionable customer and consumer insights.
  • Conduct research, synthesize findings, and apply those findings to strengthen strategic recommendations.
  • Establish the strategic direction and path to success for programs and campaigns.
  • Support ideation and strategic discussions with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling strategic narratives and confidently defend strategic recommendations.
  • Create strategic planning materials, including consumer profiles, creative briefs, brand experience summaries, strategic hierarchies, communication frameworks, and presentation decks.
  • Act as a strategic gatekeeper, working closely with creative and client service teams to build trust, alignment, and a shared understanding of the work.
  • Lead or contribute to creative briefings and client presentations.
  • Prepare client-facing materials, including presentations, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with clients at all levels.
What you bring

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in business consulting, business strategy, or an integrated marketing role.
  • Experience in experiential marketing, considered an asset.
  • Natural curiosity, creativity, and a meticulous approach to their work.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A confident and engaging communication style.
  • The ability to present ideas clearly, persuasively, and enthusiastically.
  • A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • The confidence to challenge briefs constructively and contribute to strategic discussions across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, along with strong overall digital fluency.
  • The willingness and ability to travel when required.
Compensation and work environment

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually, based on experience.
