Location – Pickering, ON

The Series Lead is responsible for planning the work for an entire series. They ensure that the series is well planned, and that technical and process requirements are understood and documented by construction. They are experienced professionals who have previously performed work in their series. They report to the Integration Manager and the applicable Area Manager for day-to-day activities and scope planning.

Your Role Within The Team
  • Plan the series and defined scopes of work, including large numbers of Comprehensive Work Packages, ensuring they meet all design and technical requirements while being as simple and executable as possible.
  • Prepare and verify work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
  • Schedule tasks for Owner support as needed.
  • Ensure TCR/MOU and supporting documentation are in place for modifications.
  • Ensure all CITPs meet requirements and are understandable by construction leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with fabrication, installation, and construction standards, including CSA N286.3 and CAN/CSA-N285.06.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction to maintain linkage between design, constructability, and execution.
  • Maintain documentation, QA/QC, and RTS efforts.
  • Oversee execution of CITPs and work sequencing.
  • Participate in planning around look ahead processes and ensure QA/QC resources are available.
  • Identify, report, and secure approval for deviations from design documents.
  • Support construction activities in accordance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of final product quality and conformance.
  • Manage resources within budget, identify variances, and participate in training needs assessment.
  • Provide technical support, leadership, and success for RFR scope.
  • Escalate technical issues to the Area Manager as needed.
  • Establish and maintain interfaces with internal groups, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure effective communication between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Engineering Degree or Engineering Technology diploma.
  • 3+ years of nuclear engineering, modification, maintenance, and construction experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles related to nuclear generation facilities.
  • Experience with Construction Work Packages.
  • Knowledge of OPG systems (Passport/Asset Suite) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, and I&C systems related to Retube and Feeder Replacement is an asset.
  • Experience with Containment Isolations, Retube, and Feeder Replacement is an asset.
