RRC is seeking a Jr. SCADA engineer responsible for SCADA and Control engineering design, deployment, and commissioning on renewable energy power plants. Experience with power/control systems, data acquisition, and telecommunications is a plus. Field experience in testing/commissioning and telecommunications is also advantageous.

Specific Duties
  • Collaborate with the SCADA team lead during design, development, implementation, and commissioning of wind, battery, solar, and PV + Storage systems.
  • Design and deploy SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Manage site TELCO installation, scheduling, and expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA system issues to meet project specifications.
  • Program RTAC units and communication hardware using standard protocols.
  • Ensure systems are installed and tested per design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain safety standards throughout all activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with SCADA software, historians, and MS SQL.
  • Knowledge of Ignition software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC 61850, etc.
  • Experience with RTAC programming, PLCs, and control systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of project life cycles, FAT/SAT testing, and utility-scale SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of utility meters, protection relays, networking hardware, and cybersecurity is a plus.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering.
  • At least one year of utility or industrial SCADA experience.
  • Familiarity with the renewable energy industry is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
