The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our small but dynamic team. In this role, you will support the buying team in sourcing, selecting, and managing products for both our retail store and e-commerce platform. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the baby industry and eager to grow their career in retail buying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify emerging trends and in-demand baby and toddler products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brands and distributors.
• Assist with inventory management, replenishment and product selection for both store and online.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure product information is ready for launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
• Ensure products align with Dear Born Baby’s values of quality, safety, and affordability.
• Monitor sales performance and help refine buying strategies based on insights and analytics.
• Create SKUs, track ETAs, and support the customer service team with product availability information.
• Assist in negotiating prices, delivery terms, and timelines with suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, or a related field.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Merchandising, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, with an eye for trends and customer needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is an asset.
• Passion for the baby and parenting industry.
• Must be available to work onsite daily (this is not a remote or hybrid role).
