Job summary

CapWest Group of Companies seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multifamily and commercial construction projects in North America. You will develop schedules, coordinate with contractors and internal teams, and ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and drawings specifications.

The role requires strong project management experience in large-scale multifamily builds, with a track record of delivering on schedule and quality. On-site leadership and collaboration across divisions are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in multifamily residential construction project management.
• Understanding of structural building sequence and coordination of subs.
• Direct work experience in PM, with planning, execution and process development.
• Experience overseeing large high-rise, podium multi-family and commercial projects (asset).
• Professional certificates/degree in related field would be an asset; PM education is preferred.

• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules.
• Review critical path and adapt to meet deadlines.
• Report and update Project Director and CapWest leadership on schedule status.
• Oversee tendering, contract administration, and resource allocation.

Scheduling

• Developing, tracking, and maintaining project schedules
• Reviewing critical path, and quickly adapting or accelerating projects to meet deadlines
• Reporting, and updating Project Director and CapWest Forming leadership of project schedule

Management and Leadership

• Oversee tendering process and contract administration
• Overall planning and defining of project scope for all subcontractors, and employees as coordinated with the Project Director
• Project resource and equipment allocation from internal and external resources
• Project documentation, communication and reporting

Quality Control

• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans if required
• Ongoing troubleshooting and problem solving, including tracking of changes in drawings, internal change orders and back charges
• Ensure project is built on budget, on schedule and on drawing specifications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Minimum 5 years of multifamily residential construction related experience
• Understanding of the structural building sequence
• Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• Experience overseeing large high-rise and podium multifamily and commercial projects an asset
• Certificate, University degree, or college diploma would be an asset
• Project Management education an asset
