Paradigm Building Solutions Ltd is hiring a Junior Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and delivery of residential and mixed-use construction projects. This full-time, on-site role offers mentorship and opportunities to grow toward a full PM role while traveling across British Columbia.

You'll work under experienced Project Managers and the Director of Projects, developing budgets and schedules, coordinating subcontracts, and ensuring on-site execution aligns with design goals.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or working toward completion.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, site administration or related role.
• Developing understanding of construction contracts, permitting processes, and project sequencing.
• Exposure to project management software such as Procore or MS Project is an asset.
• Progress toward, or completion of, a PMP designation is an asset.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication across clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly across British Columbia.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead all phases of project delivery for assigned smaller projects, from pre-construction through final completion, with mentorship from Project Managers and the Director of Projects.

Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts for assigned projects.

Oversee procurement processes and help ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Track milestones, critical paths, and deliverables, and flag risks to the Director of Projects.

Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants on assigned projects, with support from senior Project Managers.

Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to align project objectives.

Coordinate between fabrication and site teams to support seamless project execution.

Track project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities on assigned projects.

Review invoices, change orders, and progress claims for accuracy, escalating for approval as required.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams on assigned projects.

Lead project meetings and ensure effective communication across stakeholders.

Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, with input from the Director of Projects.

Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or working toward completion.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, site administration, or a related role; strong potential and relevant education can offset limited experience.
• Developing understanding of construction contracts, permitting processes, and project sequencing.
• Exposure to project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar) is an asset.
• Progress toward, or completion of, a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate across clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in learning from experienced Project Managers and site leaders.
• Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly to project sites and offices throughout British Columbia.
