Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring a Junior Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and delivery of residential and mixed-use construction projects across British Columbia. You will work under experienced Project Managers and the Director of Projects to gain hands-on site experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, site administration or related role.
• Exposure to construction contracts, permitting processes, and project sequencing.
• Progress toward or completion of PMP designation is a plus.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery for assigned smaller projects with mentorship.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Track milestones, critical paths, and deliverables; escalate risks as needed.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants with support from senior PMs.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to align objectives.
• Track project costs and seek cost-saving opportunities on assignments.
• Review invoices, change orders, and progress claims for accuracy.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead all phases of project delivery for assigned smaller projects, from pre-construction through final completion, with mentorship from Project Managers and the Director of Projects.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts for assigned projects.
• Oversee procurement processes and help ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Track milestones, critical paths, and deliverables, and flag risks to the Director of Projects.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants on assigned projects, with support from senior Project Managers.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to align project objectives.
• Coordinate between fabrication and site teams to support seamless project execution.
• Track project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities on assigned projects.
• Review invoices, change orders, and progress claims for accuracy, escalating for approval as required.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams on assigned projects.
• Lead project meetings and ensure effective communication across stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, with input from the Director of Projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or working toward completion.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, site administration, or a related role; strong potential and relevant education can offset limited experience.
• Developing understanding of construction contracts, permitting processes, and project sequencing.
• Exposure to project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar) is an asset.
• Progress toward, or completion of, a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate across clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in learning from experienced Project Managers and site leaders.
• Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly to project sites and offices throughout British Columbia.
