Job summary

Masco Canada is seeking a Junior Product Engineering Designer to join our St. Thomas office. You will create and revise 3D models and engineering drawings for new and existing products, ensuring designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in product design or engineering drafting.
• Strong CAD skills and knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 3D models and engineering drawings for new and existing products.
• Define tolerance, GD&T, dimensional stack up, and surface finishes.
• Support product development including new launches and design improvements.
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability standards.
• Prepare design verification reports and FMEA.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to align with project goals.
• Maintain and update design documentation per standards.
• Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Support continuous improvement of tools, standards and processes.
