Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join our team on major global projects. You will develop pyrometallurgical process deliverables, heat and mass balance analyses, and off-gas handling system studies using HSC-Sim and METSIM.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering and have 1–2 years of related experience in flowsheet development, PFDs/P&IDs, pipe sizing, and data sheet preparation, with a focus on health, safety and

• Bachelor degree required in chemical or materials engineering with relevance to process engineering.
• 1–2 years experience in technical report writing and flowsheet development.
• Familiar with off-gas handling units and off-gas characteristics.
• Working knowledge of design calculations and equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with process control basis and heat and mass balance development.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering deliverables, particularly pyrometallurgical processes and off-gas handling systems. Heat and mass balance development using HSC-Sim and METSIM.
• Perform trade-off studies and technology selection; create process descriptions.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs; perform pipe sizing and data sheet/equipment specification development.
