Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking an operator to join day-shift operations with potential overtime. The role includes assembly, inventory, and equipment inspection, plus coordination with the Edmonton facility on stock levels.

Travel to customer sites is required. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with mechanical assembly and machinery tools, potentially holding Class 1 or 3 licenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly and service.
• Experience operating machinery and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inventory and inspect products.
• Operate overhead crane as needed.
• Operate a three-axle rod hauling truck as needed.
• Operate a field fusion welding truck as needed.
• Load full transport reels and unload empty reels onto/off transport trailers.
• Communicate with Edmonton facility regarding inventory levels.
• Stamp Pro-Rod accessories.
• Assist Senior Operators in maintaining equipment.
• Housekeeping duties.
• Fill out appropriate paperwork.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly inventory counts.
• Other duties as required.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for the assembly, inventory and inspection of all products
• Operate overhead crane as needed
• Operate a three-axle rod hauling truck as needed
• Operate a field fusion welding truck as needed
• Loading of full transport reels and unloading of empty transport reels onto/off of transport trailers
• Communicate with the Edmonton facility regarding inventory levels

Pre-Employment Requirements

Position Details

• Mainly working day-shift operations, with overtime as required
• Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on customer needs
• Travel to customer sites

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with mechanical assembly and service
• Experience working with machinery and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid class 3 driver's license with a clean record
• Valid class 1 driver's license with clean record
• Ability to read blueprints
