We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Paralegal to join our Canadian Tax Advisory team in Calgary.
This role is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced legal and tax professionals in a

as part of a high-performing team. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of corporate,
tax and compliance matters, supporting our commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Ideal Candidate
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CORES Level I, minimum 2 years of experience. Higher level is an asset (but not required)
• Online filings with Alberta Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada
• Experience with BC and Ontario is considered an asset (but not mandatory)
• Experience with annual filings, distributions/dividend drafting, and maintaining corporate and trust
records
• Working knowledge of the ABCA, CBCA, Partnerships Act, Companies Act and Not-for-profit
Corporations Act
• Experience conducting minute book audits and identifying and correcting deficiencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with time tracking and billing
• Experience with Athennian or other minute book maintenance software is considered an asset
Responsibilities
• Drafting and filing legal documents for transactions, including annual returns,
incorporations/organizations, extra-provincial registrations, partnerships, trade names, change filings
and other transaction-related documents
• Prepare and distribute annual report packages, including annual resolutions
• Knowledge of preparing transaction documents
• Conducting minute book reviews and preparing rectification documents as needed
• Previous experience with minute book maintenance programs (Athennian) is considered an asset
• Conducting and reviewing corporate searches
• Updating and maintaining corporate records and ensuring documents comply with the applicable
legislation and are entered into the corporate records software (Athennian)
