Job summary

Gepetto in Boucherville, Québec, is seeking a Millwork Designer to produce detailed shop drawings and the technical documents that guide fabrication of each millwork component.

You will model components in 2D/3D using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microvellum, generate BOMs, and collaborate closely with the production team to validate feasibility, optimize workflows, and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in interior design, interior architecture, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a millwork shop, carpentry, or furniture production environment.
• Excellent command of AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Microvellum, or Revit is an asset.
• Good understanding of materials (solid wood, MDF, veneer, melamine, hardware).

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections, assemblies) based on client concepts and specifications.
• Model components in 2D/3D using Microvellum, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (or equivalent software such as Revit).
• Generate and update material lists (BOM) and parts lists.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to validate technical feasibility and optimize workflows.
• Manage drawing revisions according to design changes and production constraints.
• Participate in project coordination meetings with designers, suppliers, and workshop staff.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and project deadlines.
