How You Will Contribute

In this position, you will work with our Medical Communications team. The Junior Medical Animator is responsible for developing high-quality animations, presenting accurate scientific and medical information clearly and engagingly. The animator will conduct scientific research, develop storyboards, composite scenes, and develop animations throughout their lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You should be comfortable working in a collaborative team with diverse skills and personalities. You enjoy creative, iterative problem-solving to bring original concepts and high-profile IPs to life in immersive experiences. You are a team player willing to go the extra mile to raise the bar.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality medical animations, including all aspects of 3D animation (modeling, animation, lighting, shading, rendering, basic dynamics)
• Conduct scientific research for animation and interactive projects
• Assist with storyboarding, literature and visual research, drawing frames, and compiling storyboard documents
• Composite 3D scenes in After Effects
• Perform basic video and audio editing in Premiere

About You

• Science degree required; Biomedical Communications discipline preferred
• 2+ years experience in a fast-paced production environment
• Competency in 3D production software (C4D or 3DS Max), including modeling, shading, lighting, animation, basic dynamics, and rendering
• Experience with script-writing and storyboard development
• Proficiency in compositing with After Effects
• Competency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, etc.)
• Knowledge of other software (Mudbox, Unity) preferred
• Basic video editing and compression skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Passion for science and animation
