Job summary

Blue Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create complex mechanical assemblies for volume manufacturing, perform analysis, and validate designs through bench and ocean tests.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to balance manufacturability and usability while advancing designs with modern manufacturing processes. The role includes RRSP matching, four to eight weeks vacation, educational reimbursement, extended health and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design and build mechanical assemblies with strong 3D modeling skills.
• Strong hands-on engineering mindset and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Design new and complex mechanical assemblies for volume manufacturing
• Perform mechanical design analysis, simulation, and calculations
• Evaluate system failure modes, create and execute validation plans
• Test on the bench and in the ocean
• Design and validate production and test equipment
• Find, communicate with, and build relationships with new suppliers
