Qualifications

Job description

Our client, a leader in mobile maintenance operations, is seeking a Junior Mechanic to join their team. As a Junior Mechanic, you will be part of the field service team supporting various customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Junior Mechanic

Location : Surrey, BC

Pay Range : $25-30 / hour

What's the Job?
  • Assist with field diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, filter changes, and greasing.
  • Operate service trucks and transport tools and parts to job sites.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked service truck with essential tools and supplies.
What's Needed?
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship or technical program is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in the field.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or higher is a plus).
