Job summary

Oceanex Inc. seeks a Marine Junior Engineer for ships operating between Halifax, NS and St. John’s, NL. The Junior Engineer reports to the Watch-keeping Engineering Officer during engine room watches and to the Second Engineer for routine and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications include a Canadian Marine engineer certificate (Class 4, STCW-95), English proficiency, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Boarding locations include St-John's or Halifax with an ongoing 28/28 schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Watch-keeping Engineering Officer during engine room watches on watch keeping matters.
• Responsible for routine and maintenance matters with the Second Engineer.
• Boarding location at St-John's, NL or Halifax, NS.
• Starting as soon as possible.
• Status: Regular.
