Job summary

KSI Law, a commercial law firm with over 50 years of practice, seeks a Junior Lawyer in Toronto to support our Litigation practice across commercial litigation, employment and labour, professional negligence and insurance matters. You will build foundational experience under senior counsel and contribute to active files from day one.

Requirements include being called to the Bar of Ontario or eligible for call soon, 0–3 years PQE, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Called to the Bar of Ontario, or eligible for call within a defined period.
• 0–3 years PQE.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced litigation environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on litigation issues.
• Assisting senior counsel in preparing for examinations for discovery, mediations, and trials.
• Reviewing and organizing documentary evidence and preparing productions.
• Attending court appearances, case conferences, and motions with senior counsel.
• Supporting client communications and providing status updates under senior counsel's direction.
• Contributing across the firm's litigation sub-practices, including commercial litigation, employment and labour, professional negligence and insurance, and arbitration and mediation matters.
