The City of Grande Prairie Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated Junior Lifeguard to join our team. The role focuses on active supervision of the aquatic area, ensuring safety and a positive experience for all patrons.
You will respond to emergencies, perform rescues, administer first aid, and promote water safety while supporting event operations. Applicants must hold NLS and Standard First Aid/CPR-C and be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Junior Lifeguard is responsible for the active supervision of the aquatic area, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons through prevention, education, and responsive action. This role supports the efficient and safe daily operation of the aquatic environment while promoting a positive and inclusive experience for all facility users.
The standardworkweek consists of an average of 20-35 hours, with the specific schedule beingdetermined by theimmediate supervisor.
Starting salary $24.06 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
