Junior Technical Support Technician - Contract - 18151

About the Opportunity

Our reputable client is looking for multiple L1/L2 Technical Support Technicians to join their team Immediately (onsite). Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the selected candidate will be responsible for hardware deployments and various on-site support activities for end user hardware and software to help meet organizational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a globally recognized organization that is expanding its footprint in Canada. The contract duration is approximately 4-6 weeks with extension possibility. The selected candidates will reside in Ottawa as the position will be 100% onsite.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Deploy hardware and manage installations, troubleshooting and basic configuration
• Provide courteous, professional, and quality service
• Proactively identify, fix, solve and own technical issues
• Maintain effective lines of communication with internal staff and external vendors
• Adhere to all documented & formalized policies and procedures including IT, Health and Safety

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Technical Support and/or Desktop Support role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills including a strong sense of adaptability and problem solving
• Hardworking team player with demonstrated commitment to service excellence
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Candidates with the following will stand out - hardware deployments of POS systems and workstations, software installations, basic system configuration, cabling, hardware troubleshooting and experience setting up new offices
• Must be able to work onsite and be able to lift hardware (Printers/Monitors/POS systems)

About the Job

The selected candidates will be working onsite where several offices are currently being built and setup. Workplace Health and Safety training to be completed as soon as you are hired. Selected candidates must be able to provide their own PPE, start asap and work 100% onsite.
