Job summary

Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) seeks a highly motivated, commercially-minded lawyer to join the Legal team and support the Club’s business operations. Work across Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, Vancouver Surge, Rogers Arena and related hospitality businesses.

The role focuses on practical legal advice across commercial, IP, privacy, regulatory, governance, and dispute resolution, with exposure to league rules and collective bargaining agreements in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

1–3 years of relevant legal experience.
D., LL.B. or LL.L. from an accredited law school.
Member in good standing of a relevant provincial/state bar or law society.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation skills.
Practical, commercially minded approach to legal issues.

Responsibilities

Provide clear, sound, practical and strategic business-legal advice to internal stakeholders.
Review, negotiate and structure contracts on a timely basis.
Manage multiple priorities and provide legal support across commercial, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory, risk, governance and dispute resolution.
Advise on matters relating to sports law, league rules, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Support the legal and business teams on strategic initiatives and special projects.
