Your role, your impact
Alithya’s Mainframe Modernization team seeks dynamic individuals to help shape and build the future of legacy application modernization. You will analyze, refactor, and deploy modern code for legacy applications, empowering clients to achieve their goals. As a Junior Full-Stack Java Developer, you will collaborate with experts throughout the modernization process, enhancing application performance, availability, scalability, and sustainability. You will gain deep understanding of modernization systems and work closely with an Agile team to see the impact of your contributions.

Your day-to-day

• Design and code solutions based on broadly defined problems;
• Assist in developing Java and Angular applications using Spring framework;
• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot code under supervision, and document your work.

Keys to your success

• Bachelor’s degree in software development or equivalent;
• 1-2 years of experience in software development (internship, academic, or professional);
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java;
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, databases, Git, Maven/Gradle, IDEs, and JUnit.

Extra edge

• Knowledge of AWS services;
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell.

Language Skills

• Proficient in French and English; communication skills in English are essential for client interactions outside Quebec.
