Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting

• Assist with month-end close activities, including the preparation and analysis of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.


• Review accounts receivable and accounts payable listings and investigate variances or unusual trends.


• Support regulatory reporting requirements, including government filings and statistical reporting.


• Assist with quarter-end reviews and year-end audit requests.


• Support inventory and cost accounting transactions where applicable.


• Participate in financial analysis and special projects as required.


• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the accounting function.

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

• Provide support to internal departments regarding day-to-day accounting and transactional inquiries.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Human Resources, and Finance.


• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.


• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• 1-3 years of accounting or related financial experience.


• Progression toward, or interest in pursuing, a professional accounting designation (CPA) is considered an asset.


• Experience with IFRS reporting is an asset.


• Experience working within an ERP environment; exposure to Sage X3 or similar ERP systems is preferred.


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.


• Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
