Taiga Building Products - We have a FULL-TIME, PERMANENT opportunity in our Burnaby branch for a Junior Financial Analyst. The Junior Financial Analyst will support the finance group focusing on preparing and maintaining reports for Treasury, month end procedures, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily cash management and treasury tasks
• Prepare and analyze various monthly and quarterly FP&A reports to support senior management decision making
• Prepare schedules for month end processes including inventory, leasing and other claims
• Mange internal lumber price lists
• Prepare bi-weekly bank reporting packages and supporting schedules
• Prepare various weekly reports for inventory management
• Prepare reports and support for audit
• Processing of capital expenditure forms
• Complete special and ad hoc projects and research as requested by senior management

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Potential CPA candidates are preferred
• Undergraduate degree in business, with a focus on finance or accounting
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
• Sound judgment, excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
• Self-motivated and growth-oriented
• Strong team player who can also work well independently
• Experience with Great Plains or Management Reporter is an asset
• Experience with or knack for software systems implementation is an asset
• Experience in building products industry or distribution is an asset
