Job summary

Symend in Calgary, Alberta is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. You will work with the Finance team to develop models, prepare reporting packages, and drive process improvements.

Strong analytical and Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data for clear recommendations are essential.

Co-op, internship, or project-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of Finance or related analytical experience.
• Co-op or internship experience is preferred.
• Exposure to budgeting or forecasting through coursework or practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist monthly financial reporting with variance analysis.
• Maintain and update financial models (revenue, costs, forecasting).
• Support annual budgeting with input gathering and consolidated files.
• Prepare data for quarterly reforecasts, scenario modelling, and cashflow projections.
• Conduct ROI assessments and profitability analyses for client deals.
• Assist in pricing and cost modelling for new deals and renewals.
• Support board and investor materials with financial insights.
• Improve finance processes by streamlining reporting templates and documentation.
• Assist vendor management and grant funding coordination.
