EQ Bank, Canada's Challenger Bank, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Reporting team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining financial models, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and delivering insights to drive management decisions.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of relevant experience, advanced Excel skills (including macros), and familiarity with SQL. You will collaborate across business units to improve forecasting and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
• Preference for CFA/CPA designation.
• 4–5 years of progressive finance experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word).
• Strong Excel skills including macros, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and similar functions.
• SQL experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial models distributed to management monthly and quarterly.
• Delivering P&L, deposit forecasting & pricing analyses, NIM margin analysis, and budgets/forecasts.
• Running detailed financial models and liaising with multiple units to extract data.
• Developing documentation to improve efficiencies and manage risk.
