Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking a dedicated Drain Cleaning Technician in Edmonton to maintain the health, comfort and safety of customers. You will drive and operate a steam truck and high-pressure hoses to clean building drain lines, while performing drain auger work and piping repairs as needed.

You will also inspect drains with video equipment, maintain tools, and complete tablet-based administrative tasks, contributing to a safe, efficient service delivery team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years drain cleaning experience required.
• Strong customer service mindset and safety awareness.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers.
• Ensure daily communication with Plumbing team.
• Operate and drive steam truck.
• Operate high pressure/high heat hoses to clean building drain lines.
• Operate drain cleaning augers.
• Repair/replace drain piping as needed including the install of drain clean-outs.
• Operate video inspection/locating equipment.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and steam truck.
• Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet.

Experience And Educational Requirements

• Minimum 2 years drain cleaning experience required

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
• Valid Driver’s license and driver’s abstract required
• Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset
