WSP Canada in Edmonton is seeking an Engineer to join the Power Delivery Distribution team. You’ll design low to medium voltage overhead and underground systems and help deliver reliable energy to communities.

Working with engineers, designers, and stakeholders, you’ll apply engineering calculations, prepare design packages, and review deliverables to meet CSA standards. This role offers mentorship and growth within a global advisory firm.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Eligibility for registration, or current registration, with APEGA.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Demonstrated interest in power distribution design, consulting engineering, the electric utility industry, or related fields.
• Strong command of the English language for internal and external communication.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsabilidades

• Support a wide range of customer requests for new power services.
• Coordinate with customers and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Apply engineering calculations to prepare design packages for overhead and underground power distribution systems.
• Perform quality reviews of design deliverables to ensure accuracy and standards.
• Support tasks such as equipment sizing, material specification, and preparation of construction documentation.
• Design and analyze overhead and underground distribution systems using distribution design software.
• Apply relevant codes and standards, including CSA, to overhead and underground distribution designs.
• Conduct site visits as required and provide support during the construction phase of projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quality, and consistency across projects.
• Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business needs.
