Job summary

Bells of Steel Inc. is seeking a data-focused builder to transform sensor data into trustworthy datasets for training and coaching insights.

You’ll collaborate with founders, engineers and coaches in a hybrid Calgary setting, contributing to a wearable sensing project and a coaching app. Ideal candidates care about data integrity, can explain analyses clearly, and are comfortable with Python, SQL and ML concepts.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, data wrangling, SQL and Git.
• Foundation in statistics and ML concepts.
• At least one real project (job, research, or capstone).
• Experience with iOS and Android development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python/SQL tools that pull in and check sensor recordings and workout logs.
• Keep datasets traceable with IDs, exercise, equipment, timestamps and labels.
• Run collection checklists with the testing team to catch errors before experiments.
• Set up reproducible ML baselines with properly separated users and sessions.
• Document errors, limitations and interfaces used by the app team.
