Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking a Junior Corporate Accountant for a global consumer goods organization in downtown Toronto. This contract role offers hands-on training in fixed assets, taxation, and financial reporting within a collaborative finance team.

The position targets an early-career accounting professional with 6 months to 1+ years of experience and a strong Excel skill set. Hybrid work is available with 3–4 days onsite. Start ASAP with a 5‑month, 29‑day contract.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Approximately 6 months to 1+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Foundational knowledge of fixed assets and taxation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• CPA enrollment or progress toward designation is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fixed asset capitalization, CAPEX tracking, and reconciliations.
• Support federal and provincial tax filings, including HST/GST, corporate taxes, and withholding taxes.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting financial schedules.
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and government reporting requirements.
• Support accounts payable coding, intercompany billing, and general accounting activities.
• Work closely with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely financial processes.
