Job summary
RidgeTech Automation Inc. is seeking a Junior Control Systems Specialist with 1–2 years of experience to contribute to diverse automation projects in Cambridge, Ontario.
The role focuses on electrical and fluid power design, PLC/HMI programming, and robot programming across ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Nachi, and Kuka platforms. The candidate will participate in project stand-ups, manage tasks in Jira, support client relationships, and assist with testing, commissioning, and documentation to ensure
Qualifications
- Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Robotics & Automation.
- Minimum 1 year practical experience in Controls and Automation.
- Experience in design, programming and commissioning of automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and program electrical and fluid power designs using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
- Develop PLC & HMI software for Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, Toyopuc systems.
- Program and set up robots (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Nachi, Kuka) and motion control systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Bosch).
- Work on vision, marking, weld systems, and other peripherals.
- Participate in stand-ups and project meetings to manage scope and schedule.
- Document project progress and maintain accurate records in Jira.
