Job summary

ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc in Woodbridge, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Controls Systems Software Designer to design and develop PLC and PC-based control software. The role includes leading project teams, planning milestones, and budgeting while integrating hardware and software with electrical and mechanical systems.

You will work with PLCs, robotics, motion controllers, vision systems and lasers, and interface with SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years programming PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell/Siemens).
• 3+ years in SCADA and MES environments.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC/PC-based software per ATS standards.
• Reverse-engineer and write PLC code from scratch.
• Travel to domestic and international customer locations as needed (up to 20%).
