Job summary

LNG Canada is seeking a Junior Construction Engineer/Specialist (Utilities and Cooling Towers) to join the Phase 2 Construction Team in Kitimat. Reporting to the Construction Lead, you will provide technical supervision and support to ensure utilities and cooling towers works align with design, schedule, and regulatory requirements, coordinating closely with the EPC contractor.

You will be an early-career professional engineer developing construction competencies while contributing to a major

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or similar/equivalent.
  • Registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) is ideal.
  • 5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in construction projects.
  • Contractor management experience with EPC contracts.
  • Previous LNG plant/project experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Construction Lead to oversee delivery of Utilities and Cooling Towers activities.
  • Review progress and ensure adherence to plans, procedures and standards.
  • Support technical queries, field changes and design deviations during construction.
  • Collaborate with EPC contractor and owner teams to minimize risk and deliver results.
  • Contribute to integration across HSSE, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Commissioning.
