Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. in Vancouver seeks a Junior Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our underwriting team. You’ll underwrite commercial risks, assist brokers with fast, accurate responses, and prepare instructions for renewals, endorsements and new business.

You’ll master our underwriting platform, learn from experienced underwriters, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused team with mentoring and internal promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent customer service instincts.
• Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS Office; fast, accurate work is critical.
• Inclusive, transparent, and collaborative mindset with resilience to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adapt positively when priorities shift.
• Successful completion of a criminal record check.
• General Insurance License in good standing (or ability to obtain within 60 days).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry

Bonus XP if you have:

• Prior underwriting experience or broker experience in commercial lines
• CAIB, CIP, or active progression toward other relevant industry designations

Salary Range:

CAD $55,000-$85,000
