Job summary

MPE a division of Englobe in Sudbury is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to contribute to water resources design and project management across Ontario. The role offers exposure to hydropower projects, drainage systems, and river engineering, with a focus on delivering planning reports, drawings, and contract documents.

You will work closely with clients and senior staff to meet project objectives, develop technical solutions, and manage phases from concept through construction, while building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Registration with PEO or another provincial regulator as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.).
• 0–4 years of experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in hydropower, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
• Self-motivated with good leadership, project management and client management experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills

Description

The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
• Registration with PEO, or another provincial regulator, as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
• 0 to 4 years of experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in the following areas of practice is desired:
  • Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
• Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
