Article in Vancouver is seeking a Junior Category Manager for Living Room Upholstery and Made-to-Order to drive in-season health, margin optimization, and cross-functional execution across the category.

You will own reporting, support line plans, and help scale Made-to-Order products while collaborating with Design, Sourcing and Merchandising Planning. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office each week.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Category Management, preferably within eCommerce or the furniture industry.
  • Strong knowledge of category management, merchandising, marketing and sales principles.
  • Analytical mindset with a solid understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a deadline-driven work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (1–2 trips per year).
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Completion of related post-secondary courses preferred.

  • Conduct extensive in-season and post-season market analysis to maintain unrivaled product quality and customer value.
  • Manage product lifecycles end-to-end, including promotional strategies, sales initiatives, and product exits.

As a Junior Category Manager - Living Room Upholstery - Small Bodies & Made to Order Business, you'll drive the continuous in-season health, margin optimization, and cross-functional execution of these integral categories.

In the Category Management team, we curate a world-class furniture catalog that balances consumer trends, competitive pricing, and profitability. This fits into our larger need to expand our Living Room Upholstery and Made-to-Order categories, ensuring we deliver the right products at the right price and time while hitting our financial targets.

Within the first few months, you’d take ownership of in-season reporting, support line plan creation, and ensure product milestone deadlines are met. In a year, you’ll be proud to say you’ve optimized the category's margin profile, managed key product lifecycles, and helped scale our Made to Order business.

We are a collaborative team that bridges customer insights with commercial execution. We work closely with Design, Sourcing, Merchandise Planning, and global factory partners to bring product assortments to life across digital channels.

We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be part of the Category Management team, working under the guidance of the Category Manager to solve product assortment, pricing, and execution challenges across Small Bodies & Made to Order Upholstery.

Who You Are
  • 2+ years of experience in Category Management, ideally within eCommerce or the furniture industry.

  • Adaptable multitasker capable of managing tight deadlines and expected to take ownership of your work.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with factories, customers, and internal colleagues.
  • Completion of related post-secondary courses preferred.
  • Comfortable with occasional international travel (1–2 trips per year).
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Completion of criminal background check.
