Qualifications

• Understanding of architectural construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist architects and senior technologists with development of architectural and technical drawings.
• Prepare and modify plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM/CAD tools.
• Prepare construction documents, drawing sets, schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
• Interpret designs and translate concepts into technical drawings.
• Assist with BIM modelling and maintain project information within BIM models.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant drawings.
• Participate in design development and technical coordination meetings.
• Assist with site measurements, surveys, and documentation of existing conditions.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with revisions based on comments from architects, consultants, and clients.
• Research building codes, standards, and construction requirements.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, models, and documentation.
• Support teams through design, documentation, and construction phases.
• Perform other architectural and technical duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist architects and senior technologists with the development of architectural and technical drawings.
• Prepare and modify plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant BIM/CAD software.
• Assist with the preparation of construction documents, drawing sets, schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
• Interpret architectural designs and translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
• Assist with BIM modelling and maintain accurate project information within BIM models.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant drawings.
• Participate in design development and technical coordination meetings.
