Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction environment is an asset.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and architectural documentation.
• Understanding of architectural construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist architects and senior technologists with the development of architectural and technical drawings.
• Prepare and modify plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM/CAD software.
• Assist with preparation of construction documents, drawing sets, schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
• Interpret architectural designs and translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
• Assist with BIM modelling and maintain accurate project information within BIM models.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant drawings.
• Participate in design development and technical coordination meetings.
• Assist with site measurements, surveys, site visits, and documentation of existing conditions when required.
• Review drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with preparing revisions and incorporating comments from project architects, consultants, and clients.
• Research applicable building codes, standards, regulations, and construction requirements.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, models, and documentation.
• Support project teams throughout the design, documentation, and construction phases.
• Perform other architectural and technical duties as assigned.
