Raise is hiring a Junior Accountant in Mississauga (preferred) or Calgary, to support our client's Finance and Accounting team. You will handle day-to-day accounting duties and month-end close for the Sales and Marketing group, including revenue and opex accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and solid Excel skills. Start ASAP on a contract with a strong potential extension to Feb 12, 2027.

Qualifikationen

• 1-3 years hands-on accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting concepts and month-end closing procedures.
• Proven experience in AP/AR, expense, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced to intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Nice-to-have: CPA pursuit or interest is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Month-End Closing & Accruals: post journal entries for Sales & Marketing.
• Account Reconciliations: monthly balance sheet reconciliations (AP, AR,GL).
• Invoicing & Compliance: validate invoices and prepare GST/HST/QST reports.
• Tax Compliance: assist with GST/HST and QST filings.
• Reporting & Analysis: support financial analysis and variance reviews.
• Special Projects: assist budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.
