Job summary

Clio is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Vancouver Finance team. You will handle weekly bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries in Netsuite, and support month-end close in a collaborative, fast-growing SaaS environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and eagerness to learn, with exposure to a multi-entity, high-growth company and opportunities to work with AI-assisted processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to bank reconciliations and credit card coding.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including general ledger coding and month-end close.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate, well-documented work and audit trails for SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly bank reconciliations with Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy of all bank transactions.
• Propose journal entries in Netsuite for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts during month-end close.
• Perform variance analysis on balance sheet accounts to identify drivers of financial performance.
• Assist with external audits and support SOX compliance.
• Support other Finance team members during month-end close and ad-hoc projects.
