You will work with senior staff and the deal team, supporting tax returns, audits, and pro forma reporting while leveraging AI tools to enhance speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Completed post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
• CPA candidate preferred, but not essential.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with accounting and tax software preferred; Oracle NetSuite is a strong asset.
• Solid computer skills across word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve speed and accuracy, or curiosity to learn.
• Detail-oriented with an eye on the bigger picture behind the numbers.
• Proactive and quick to learn, adapting when priorities shift.
• Strong at multitasking and prioritizing across deadlines.
• Collaborative team player who communicates openly and respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle bookkeeping in the GL, including AP, AR, banking and journals.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure timely postings.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Maintain related-party loan interest schedules.
• Process vendor payables and wire/ACH transfers accurately.
• Prepare monthly GST remittances.
• Support quarterly and annual financial procedures, audits and budgeting.
• Assist with pro forma reporting and GL variance analysis.
