Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the efficient functioning of our accounting department. You will work alongside a dynamic team and have the opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping
• Prepare bank entries
• Purchasing invoice entry
• Digital scanning and filing of documents
• Other administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

• Bilingual (French/English) - English is essential
• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience
• Knowledge of financial and cost accounting
• Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software (Google Suite or Microsoft Office)
• Excellent math skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Able to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur

Exigences :

• Bilingue (français/anglais) - L'anglais est essentiel
• Diplôme d'enseignement post-secondaire en comptabilité ou en finance, ou une combinaison équivalente de formation formelle et d'expérience
• Connaissance de la comptabilité financière et des coûts
• Maîtrise des logiciels de tableur et de traitement de texte (Google Suite ou Microsoft Office)
• Excellentes compétences en mathématiques et souci du détail
• Compétences en communication, en relations interpersonnelles et en organisation requises
• Capacité à interagir avec tous les niveaux du personnel, y compris la direction
• Capacité à travailler de manière autonome avec un minimum de supervision
• Pensée critique et résolution de problèmes
• Capacité à organiser et à hiérarchiser le travail pour respecter les délais
• Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression et/ou dans le cadre de calendriers stricts et à produire des résultats précis
