BDO Canada LLP's Halifax office is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Assurance team starting in September 2027. You will carry out work on engagements, prepare working papers and financial statements, gather evidence, and build strong client relationships.

You will be guided by CPA prerequisites, participate in CPA training programs, and benefit from mentorship, study leave, and learning resources designed to support your professional growth within a people-first culture.

Your Opportunity

Our Halifax office is looking for a Junior Accountants to join the Assurance team, starting in September 2027 and own the following responsibilities:

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments
• Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.

• You have completed your undergraduate degree or diploma and the necessary CPA pre-requisites
