Associate Director at Professional Staffing

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join a growing and dynamic company based in downtown Toronto. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Full cycle bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, bank transactions, account reconciliations, HST, and expense reports
2. Send monthly invoices, manage the billing contact list and new client set-up forms
3. Respond to client inquiries for invoices, statements, and general information
4. Follow up on outstanding invoices
5. Support month-end and year-end close processes
6. Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
7. Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
8. Work closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting
2. 1–2 years of relevant professional experience
3. Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting processes
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher)
6. Exceptional organizational and written communication skills
7. Eager and motivated to take on new challenges and grow within the role
8. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
9. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
10. Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
11. Highly resourceful with strong multitasking and time-management abilities
