Job summary

Italian Centre Shop Ltd in Edmonton is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This full-time hybrid role supports accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.

You will work across Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely billing. Strong communication, Excel and Sage skills are valued, and growth opportunities exist within our retail group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting/finance is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Sage experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, invoices, EFTs, and cheque payments.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Assist with audits and year-end working papers.

Full-Time Junior Accountant based out of our Little Italy Location 10878 95 St NW Edmonton, Ab. This is a Hybrid role that would require travel to our Edmonton and Sherwood Park Locations.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Junior Accountant to support our Finance team. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting month-end activities, and helping ensure the smooth operation of our business.
