Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and accounting software.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite, ADP, or property management systems is an asset.
  • Experience in hospitality, property management, or strata environments is an asset.
  • Reliable transportation to our Downtown Calgary office.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry and payments.
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash balances.
  • Manage employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll-related entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare internal financial reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation.
  • Participate in system updates and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support special projects and other accounting-related activities as required.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:
