Job summary

Ericsson Canada Inc. is seeking a Software Developer to help shape the future of wireless technology in Ottawa. You will join agile, cross-functional teams working on radio platform software and Open RAN technologies for 5G networks.

You will develop production-grade software, create unit tests and automate testing, and collaborate across teams to continuously improve products and processes. Fresh graduates or early-career developers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience—or fresh out of school and ready to learn.
• Proficiency in C, with OS/kernel/driver development basics.
• Basic knowledge of Linux development environment and willingness to grow.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Genuine curiosity in AI and its applications to software development/testing.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer support to gain product insight and understand real-world needs.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to design, code, and test radio platform software and Open RAN tech.
• Develop production-grade software, unit tests, and automated tests for 5G radio/Open RAN products.
