Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking a Junior Process Engineer for our St. John’s, NL office to contribute to offshore oil and gas projects. You will review, design, and analyze process equipment, participate in simulations, and help develop P&IDs as part of a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary problem solving, adherence to schedules, and growing expertise in process calculations, line hydraulics, and sizing within a supportive, international company culture.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing and analyzing offshore process equipment and systems.
• Ability to develop process simulations and technical reports.
• Experience drafting P&IDs and editing drawings.

Our St. John’s, NL office is looking for a Junior Process Engineer to join our team!

What will you be doing?

• Review, interpret, design, and analyze process equipment and systems for offshore oil and gas systems with the support of the team including: process simulation and system analysis, preparation of technical reports, design drawings and specifications.
• Work with other members of the process team, and with other engineering disciplines, through work development; investigating, advising, and resolving design and field engineering problems.
• Assuring compliance with project schedules and control estimates.
• Developing, drafting, redlining, and editing P&IDs.
• Execute process calculations that include line hydraulics and sizing, pressure relief device sizing, control valve sizing, pump sizing, and piping and vessel heat gain.
• Apply research initiatives to develop simulation models.
