Job summary

Falcon Equipment Surrey is seeking a Junior Mobile Equipment Electrician to join our head office. You’ll develop skills in vehicle electrical systems and contribute to installations, testing, and diagnostics for heavy equipment across various industries.

The role offers growth into Falcon’s Mobile Electrician track with hands-on practice, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and basic electrical knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and automotive electrical qualification certificate or equivalent.
• Some combination of training, mechanical/electrical/automotive experience.
• Knowledge of modern HD/Automotive vehicular electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong foundation in vehicle and equipment electrical systems.
• Assist with installation and testing of electrical wiring and control systems.
• Learn to diagnose and repair electrical and communication-system problems.
• Develop proficiency with J1939 vehicle communication systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Learn to use OEM diagnostic and programming software.
• Learn to read, modify, and eventually create electrical schematics.
• Accurately capture and document electrical installations and changes for future reference.
• All other duties as assigned

We are looking to add a Junior Mobile Equipment Electrician to our Surrey Head Office team, who will eventually develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become Falcon’s future Mobile Equipment Electrician.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a strong foundation in vehicle and equipment electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and automotive electrical qualification certificate
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Some combination of technical education, mechanical experience, electrical experience, automotive experience, heavy-duty equipment experience, or relevant trade experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles.
• Knowledge of modern HD/Automotive vehicular electrical systems.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods.
• Ability to distinguish subtle color variations.
• Able to understand and update electrical schematics based on specific projects.
• Looking for an electrical jack-of-all trades, master-of-none with an attitude and aptitude to succeed.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean abstract required
