Job summary

RONA is seeking a DDC Building Attendant in Quebec to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple sites. The role requires regular inspections, repairs, and minor renovations to keep facilities clean and safe.

You will coordinate with safety teams and suppliers, and travel frequently between sites as part of a full-time daytime schedule. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in building maintenance, a technical diploma or relevant skills, a valid license, and strong autonomy,

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• A technical diploma or skill cards (an asset)
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong technical skills (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage emergencies.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect buildings and equipment at various sites.
• Maintain identified equipment on a regular basis and keep a record of this maintenance.
• Participate in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose breakdowns, identify their causes, and propose solutions.
• Perform necessary repairs or equipment replacement.
• Perform minor renovation work (painting, installing coverings, repairing partitions, etc.).
• Manage equipment inventory and relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with current safety and compliance standards, in partnership with the Asset Protection and Health and Safety teams.
• Perform all other related tasks.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the DDC Building Attendant is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of infrastructure. The Attendant must perform general maintenance tasks at DDC sites in Quebec. He or she ensures that facilities are in good working order and that buildings are clean.

Your role:
