Job summary

Strike Group is seeking a Journeyperson Service Electrician for Cranbrook, BC. This on-site role supports industrial electrical systems across local projects with travel for site work as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Journeyperson certificate, is committed to safety, can pass pre-employment drug testing, and maintains a clean driving record. You will interpret blueprints, install and test electrical equipment, and support preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
• Must have a clean driver’s abstract.
• Commercial/Industrial maintenance background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

Journeyperson Service Electrician

Location: Cranbrook – E&I, British Columbia, V1C 4V2

Position Summary

Journeyperson Service Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources, and communications. With shops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon, the E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects located throughout Western Canada.

Position Details

• Must be local to Cranbrook, BC
• Candidates must be willing to travel and work fluctuating shift schedules as the work demands
